Magnifying eyecup

I think something like the ME-1 might help me.

However before I buy one I was wondering if anyone had found an alternative to the Olympus version that would do the same job?

Re: Magnifying eyecup

From what I remember, some folks have modified a Pentax one to fit & claim that it gives a fuller view withing the finder.

Re: Magnifying eyecup

Thanks Bill - I'm guessing the pentax one is "pricey" too

I was rather hoping there might be a good knock off somewhere.

I think I might have sourced an Oly one from a forum member.

Currently I have my E520 Diopter adjustment wound up to max. Does anyone know if it will help with this significantly?

I use this one

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TENPA-1-36x-Vi...#ht_6992wt_907

costs around 35 and works great on my E600.

shipped from Hong Kong so takes a while to get here however.

The diopter adjustment works in the camera (i.e. behind the viewfinder), so the ME-1 won't affect it. It'll just magnify what's already there. That said, I found my E510 much easier to use with the ME-1 than without.

Errm, I've got an Oly ME-1 that I no longer use - I bought it for the E-400 but don't seem to need it with the E-30. It'd fit in an envelope, so you could try it out, and if it suits you ...

Ellie thats really nice of you!
However I've already done a deal with another forum member.
He also no longer uses it because of a E30 upgrade
