Hello from Leamington Spa

Hi everyone.

I'm Kev and I've been interested in photography for over 50 years. Apart from the early days, I have always used Olympus cameras. My first Olympus gear includes an OM 101, and several compact cameras before moving up to an OM 2 SP. My first digital was an E 520. The joy of being able to take thousands of photos and disregard any I felt like and not having to worry about the cost. Don't get me wrong. Learning your craft on 35mm roll film is a great learning curve as it make you think more about what you took. I now own an E5 and also the grand daddy of all digital SLR cameras, The Olympus E1.

I have had work published in newspapers, magazines, a hardback book and even a photo of mine published in 'Digital Photo'.

I look forward to sharing some of my work in the future with you all.

Thank you.

Thanks very much Phil D. Sounds like a very good on-line camera forum, for photographers that are shepherds, not sheep!

Re: Hello from Leamington Spa

A warm welcome Kevin. I think you will find that many members here remember the Olympus OM film cameras with nostalgia. I do indeed remember the OM101 but never had one as I had (still have) an OM40 and OM4Ti.

Re: Hello from Leamington Spa

Thanks OM USer, I always fancied the OM4i as it had the titanium body...a real class camera from Olympus. I'm just trying to work out how to upload some of my work.

BTW that's a great offer not to be turned down lightly. Paul does great work, especially landscapes, and is very knowledgeable about Oly kit too.
