First Pictures with Digital

Here are a couple of my first pictures with my em5... first digital camera I have owned.

It is fantastic - no film.... can take as many shots as I like.

Thanks for the forum, I look forward to taking part from time to time.

Cheers

Susan welcome to the forum. I can't see your images though, did you forget to add them to your post? Easy done I've done that before too. You can just edit the post and still add them in up to 24 hours after the original post time.

Hi Susan,

It looks like you are trying to use forum attachments? This is disabled here because it's not the best way to show photos. You can use our free gallery space or if your photos are stored somewhere else, like Flickr or Picasa, you can use the Insert Image button and with an image url (link).

We're here to help if you need it

Ian

Hi Ian
Do you know why an advertisement attaches to one of my uploads, is this normal on the site?
Thank you
Sue

This doesn't sound normal at all - can you post a screen shot?

Re: First Pictures with Digital

Hi Ian
Thank you, that's very kind...

I was trying to find a couple of things:
1. how to delete a photo once it is posted
2. if someone gives a rating for a photo is it out of 10, 100?

Cheers
Sue

Do you mean from a forum post or from the gallery?

Gallery ratings are out of 10.

Re: First Pictures with Digital

G'day Susan. It's good to see you here on this very friendly & helpful forum.

That's an interesting wheat field shot.

You've got a lovely camera in the E-M5 & I have enjoyed using mine & its results.

That's a very good, extensive list there Tom. I was a bit slow at thinking of adding some of those, but you have excelled here!

EDIT:
I notice the two that I would start with aren't listed, so here they are.
DPReview User Guide: Getting the most out of the Olympus E-M5
http://www.ayton.id.au/wiki/doku.php...usem5_settings

My advice with the DPReview notes & also from Gary Ayton is to copy & paste for printing as a good reference guide to have on hand, but also I needed to have it in print to read it all (good bedtime reading ).

Thanks Sapper, I was saying that a bit tongue in cheek, unlike my house, I am very cut throat when hitting the delete button to get rid of stuff that's not useful.

Cheers
