Real world difference between VF 2, 3 and 4?

I own a VH2 and a VF3, both work well on my Pen cameras, and aprt from style and colour the main difference in use, for me is the lack of a lock on the VF2.

Can anyone tell me if the VF4 has any advantages in terms of IQ over either of these?

It does. The display has a higher resolution but I don't have the figures to hand.

Re: Real world difference between VF 2, 3 and 4?

Thanks for the prompt reply, I know it has a 'better' IQ on paper, what I'm after is someone who uses either the VF2 or 3 and the VF4 to tell me if they notice that difference.

Re: Real world difference between VF 2, 3 and 4?

I have neither now, but in the past I've owned both the VF2 and VF4. The VF4 is significantly better - bigger, brighter, higher resolution and smoother motion. The VF4 is effectively like the EVF in th E-M1 and the VF2 like that in the E-M5.

Re: Real world difference between VF 2, 3 and 4?

My experience is the EVF4 is miles better than 2 and 3, the EVF2 is much better resolution wise and in use every day use than EVF3 (if correctly adjusted for your vision) I am surprised how well the EVF2 holds its value, perhaps it is because it also fits a number of Leica compacts?

Best wishes
