Landscape-esque

I don't normally do landscapes, so I'm not entirely sure this IS a landscape?

WARNING: Not taken with M4/3, but with a 24MP camera from the Fatherland.

Re: Landscape-esque

It's definitely a landscape and it has a nice mood. You should shoot landscapes more often.

You can get away with using a camera with a red dot at the moment, but it might not be allowed after Brexit.

Thanks John.
If we leave without a Brexit deal (God forbid), would electricians' tape covering the red dot make it more acceptable!

No, but you'd have to make sure that camera still works under WTO rules. And don't even think of what the Leica tax is for ex-pats.

Covering a logo with tape - that almost makes you a professional!

Thanks Paul, that's a nice comment to receive from someone who is a landscaper.

It does worry me if we leave on WTO rules, overall, but it could make repairs more expensive. As far as I'm aware no one in the UK will touch a digital M, it has to be returned to Solms.

Re: Landscape-esque

That is a cracking shot, and I love the almost threatening mood, but with sunlight at the end of the tunnel as it were.

It would have been better shot on MF film of course but the digital red dot is fine for practicing with.

Thanks Nigel, yes the Red Dot Digi is good for practicing with.

In relation to John's comment above, the scene could be seen as a visual metaphor for Brexit; light at the end of the tunnel; fingers crossed!

Re: Landscape-esque

Just thinking... A 'sticky' open thread for 'visual metaphors' would be an excellent idea. Challenging, interesting and maybe humorous.

Thank you Mdb2.
It is said that our photographs reflect our personality, or more likely our mood on a particular day.
The lens was a 'nifty fifty'.

If I am honest, it does not do anything for me....Black, white film digital whatever.

But if you like it, that is what counts......
