Video with the E-M1

I've never used a stills camera for video before, partly because I have a dedicated video camera and partly because I'm not that interested. I had my E-M1 at a Grandaughter's concert today and decided to try a few video takes. However despite trying all settings I couldn't get it to do CAF, the setting was greyed out. I was using a 4/3 lens so perhaps that was the problem but I dunno. As I am nowhere near my manual at the moment I wondered if anyone can shed some light on this for me?

Many thanks

David

Re: Video with the E-M1

You just answered your own question. Just try C-AF with your 4/3's lenses for normal use (e.g. Aperture Priority) & you will notice it wouldn't be pleasant if it was being used for video with the hunting that might occur & the noise it might make so the C-AF is disabled (& greyed out) for 4/3's lenses in video.
