Car Show

These were taken at the annual All British Car Day last Sunday. At this time of year in NZ there are many car shows, when well-groomed vehicles come out to be seen. There were 300-odd British cars, motorcycles and stationary motors on show, here are a few:

MG, with an odd-looking photographer in the reflections:

MG on stands to show off the underneath:

A closer look at the underneath:

3 Armstrong Siddeleys, probably Sapphires:

Rolls Royce:

Oh, and some Minis, ours the red one in the centre:

Panos are fun; one man appeared 3 times here!

As you see, it was a lovely day, enjoyed by many, and raising funds for the local ambulance.

Interesting to see enthusiasm for British cars over there, some lovely shots here, I especially like the MG.
Very nice to see some sunshine too!

Re: Car Show

Nice shots indeed, at our shows it is usually the raindrops that show the high polish off

Is that a genuine Clubman front on your mini, or one of the aftermarket fibre ones. It looks genuine to me

It is a standard (original) 1979 BLMC Mini Clubman which has done 91,000 kms / 57,000 miles from new. The engine has been rebuilt but is still standard 1000 cc. Its non-original parts are the spotlights, minilite wheels and flaring kit over wheels. It's loads of fun, and is the only car in our garage that needs a tray under it . (Details from my husband, who drives the Mini into the garage then jacks it up to push it sideways into the corner until next outing )

Re: Car Show

Looks like it was a great day out , nicely captured. I really miss my Mini Cooper, wish I'd kept it. I wonder if you can trace what happened to cars like you can trace family history? Definitely like that pano, there are a few duplicate people when you look, and the guy next to the orange mini has lost a foot! Good fun looking though.

Re: Car Show

Great set of images, love the pano, you should have changed the shirt colour or the hat even just to add some more fun to the image.
