Long Tailed Tit - spot metering used

Tried out the instant spot metering I have set up using the E-3's Fn button when taking this shot of a Long Tailed Tit today. Sky is totally blown, but the bird is exposed correctly. Some minor adjustments in Lightroom for clarity.

Very good - serious envy! That's an excellent shot. You could always PS in a background, but I think it looks great as is.

Re: Long Tailed Tit - spot metering used

Do you know Chris, I have been having trouble of late with the EXIF data, and I am obviously doing something very wrong here. I didn't use the save for web feature in Photoshop, and so the EXIF should be preserved.

Must do some experimentation.

EXIF : 1/250th @f6.9, ISO160, spot metering, fl 269mm

Aww, what a lovely picture.

These are probably my favourite little birds, I'm lucky to have them visiting my garden too.
