Fun Pix from Imperial Cities tour

I have selected three pix taken during our recent tour - with a hint of humour, I hope!

1. The first shows a statue of Columbo, that rather crumpled detective from the US TV series from way back, on a street corner in Budapest, of all places! It is situated on Falk Miksa utca (utca meaning street) and Miksa Falk was a 19th Century political figure of Hungary, to whom Peter Falk, who played the part of Columbo, is said to have been related. He and his dog are 'loitering' by a milk sales van which was doing brisk business with the locals. I was amused by the young lad in the background who when he saw that I was taking a pic, mimicked the pose, although he got his left mixed up with his right!

2. Moving on to Prague, we made good use of the underground system and I managed to capture this shot of Barrie as we were descending to the depths. It's not that we are competitive ... but anything you can do ...

3. Lastly, still in Prague, we visited the castle one morning and I took this pic of one of the guards on duty - the soldier peeping round the corner looks as if he is checking that he has not absconded!

All taken with the OM-D E-M1, 9-18 mm.

Regards,
Ann1e

I must say that whoever designed the uniform of the Czeck guard shouldn't give up his day job. Can't imagine the Coldstream Guards in a getup like that Anne. And cop the soldier's emerald green beret - very chique!

If you think those are chique Mark what about these from the Royal Thai Army?

You're quite right, Ed - very much the bemused expression Charles often wears, although I only picked that up after your comment!

Well they're certainly a colourful bunch, if a little random!

Uniformly distasteful, is all I can say Peter!
