Newcastle meet - another view! (Image heavy)

As said elsewhere, a great photographic day highlighted by the next day being wet, dull and windy!

I'll start at the end, with Jim, myself and a friend staying on into the evening to have a look at some late night museum / historic building openings. This was seen near Gallowgate / Chinatown

The signboard

On today's menu - a reflection or two of Oly owners

So many hen parties that we almost became blasť

A high rise flat for the Kittiwakes

Like David Attenborough lurking in the undergrowth

Find a nice viewpoint and suddenly there's load of blasted photographers about

Facing the pole

Slow waltz in the Sage

A slinky building but no steps

Frame by frame the bridges emerged

The slug moved slowly as the storm brewed

How to photograph the slug vexed the photographers

Grainger market roof

The multi-faceted buildings

Earl Grey had popped off for a quick fag but no-one knew where he was!

Apologies for the large quantity but it was a near ideal day for photography! More can be seen at https://picasaweb.google.com/2catkin...eat=directlink

Regards
Chris

Another one to add in - I nearly missed the juxtaposition of these two

Mind the bump!

The grainger market roof is taken at a third of a second, F22 ... producing pink CA and nice starry effects from the lamps. Wierd stuff.

Sorry - shameless self promotion!
Well more a case of some shots from the day were going onto the original thread and some onto Peter's follow up, and as I had quite a few that I wanted to show it seemed 'easier' to put them onto yet another thread. So apologies if it adds to the confusion.
I did think that we might also have had a special post event gallery but not sure how to do that and it was probably a case of best done beforehand rather than after the event?

Re the Grainger Market roof, I took several shots both in the market and in the Sage at a slow shutter speed, partly to create blur in the people. So the interior of the Sage image shows that it was taken at 0.769231 s - I didn't realise that you could get such a timing on the E-30!

Also to add in - all the shots were taken with the Oly E-30 and the 12-60mm SWD lens. I'm gradually going through some of the other shots and may yet add a few more in!

Regards
Chris

Nice shots, and looks like a good day!

I like the panorama and the slug!

David.
