A day in the dust w/e-M1 Mk2, MC20 and 40-150pro

After visiting Nellis AFB and getting some horrendous photos with the MC-20 attached to the 40-150 Pro, most likely due to sun and atmosphere I had another go at the Desert Races. Any oof most likely due to yours truely as I tend to stop panning when I release the shutter. All with C-AF+TR E-M1 Mk2 MC-20, and 40-150 Pro. If the picture looks flat that is the dust, I thought I would share.

This one I had to crop out a light stand just out of the left edge of the pic.

Any ideas how to clean the 40-150 lens hood? It no longer glides smooth, full of dust.

C-AF+TR was flawless. On these middle jumps, pic 2,3,4 I learned to get the box on the rear wheel and follow through, box stayed glued to where I put it.

Re: A day in the dust w/e-M1 Mk2, MC20 and 40-150pro

Great captures.
With the lens hood the internal slide area needs to be blown out, but after that I have used pencil lead (graphite) on mine with good results. I wouldn't use any form of grease in that area, although the slightest smear of silicon grease (sprayed onto a cloth first) may work. The metal ring started to come off mine & it was when I was regluing it back on (with a clear contact adhesive after cleaning all the old glue off first) that I investigated the mechanism closer & added the trace of graphite in the slide grooves etc.

I fiddle with violins (when I'm not fiddling with a camera).
