3 Legged Thing tripods - any users here?

I haven't yet had a chance to use a 3 Legged Thing tripod - what's the informed knowledge on these?

Their most recent press release is here:

A British company with a bit of design flair or are they simply reselling Chinese stuff?

I have a 3LT Brian (!) travel tripod. It's well thought out and nicely made. Came with a bag and strap and a decent ball head. One leg unscrews to make a monopod.

They've clearly got a very good marketing department (!), but putting that aside a couple of guys in our club have got whatever their earlier travel tripod is called and seem happy.

As ever, though, medium to long term reliability and robustness is where tripods fall down (literally, or else they lock solid!), and I'm not sure it's yet possible to say for TLT.

I bought and the returned the smallest carbon travel tripod a while ago. It was very wobbly and basically useless unless it was only partially extended. I replaced it with a REDGED carbon which is astoundingly stable.

I got a Black Friday deal on Amazon for a Benro, which is virtually the same thing. They are all so similar that I think they are all made in the same place but with different logos stuck on them.

My newest tripod is 20 years old, my oldest 35 years.
