New York

A few from our recent trip to New York... not much time for photography this time as we were visiting friends but managed a couple of evenings.

1. Shadow of the State

2. Infinity

3. Glass House

4. Manhattan Bridge - 10 Stop

5. Manhattan Bridge

Re: New York

Presume no.3 was someone doing a selfie, rather than the stunning skyline opposite? . How sad. Interesting glass thing though, just not sure I'd want ME in front of it....

Re: New York

A sign of the times unfortunately!

On closer inspection I'm not actually sure if he is taking a selfie or a photo of the Manhattan Bridge which is right next door (that's the Brooklyn Bridge behind the glass house)... I think I could give him the benefit of the doubt, though there were plenty of other people where who definitely were taking selfies!

Re: New York

Superb use of perspective. Keep the selfie for the human angle.

Not just me but why not produce a copy without him to see what you think?

Re: New York

A great set. Mr Selfie should stay IMHO. I think he turns the shot from "nice but dull" into something special. A nice juxtaposition. Last time I was stood at that place it was -15deg C and I had to retreat into a coffee shop after freezing my fingers off taking shots down at DUMBO.

Whereas we were diving into shops to get into the air-con, it was crazy hot! Of course the night before was an absolutely stunning sunset, but we were nowhere in the vicinity...

Re: New York

An extremely quick and dirty edit to remove Mr. Selfie... I'm quite happy to leave him in:

LOL! I'm sure I could have but I literally spent about 5 seconds on it, hence the disclaimer!
