A Day for Reflection.

The weather in Essex this afternoon was "interesting". Sunshine, showers, hail , rainbows, fantastic clouds and some interesting light. But best of all Reflections.

A "double" rainbow.

A rainbow with a reflection.

Thanks for looking.

Re: A Day for Reflection.

You obviously had some great light on the reserve today, Peter. I was stuck at home as my wife was out with the car, but mustn't complain as I'm having it next Sunday.

Re: A Day for Reflection.

I love reflections, and enjoyed all of these. Looked longest at No. 2; it's got something special.

Re: A Day for Reflection.

Thanks Rosemary and Lyn.
Since you both like No 2 (my favourite too) I can now reveal the real pupose of the pond in the picture. It's the final stage of the "eco-friendly" waste water treatment system for our visitor centre. After pre-treatment in some type of septic tank "friendly" bacteria in the reeds remove the "final traces" before the water is put back into the reservoir.

Hope this hasn't spoilt the picture for you.

Regards.

Thanks Iain.
We don't have the beautiful Glens and Lochs that you do in Scotland so it was a rare treat to be able to get these type of shots on our "man made Loch".

Regards.

Not at all Peter - made the photo even more interesting. Here in South Australia - the driest state in the driest country on earth, we are very water and environment conscious. It is good to see this pond and reeds looking so healthy!

Not at all - good ol' bacteria at work, huh? I spend my days dealing with the bad guys in the bacteria world so it's good to read about the good guys
