Help for a 40D using friend?

I may be wrong, but I don't get the impression there is a forum like this one where people get to know, trust and help each other in the Canon world. I didn't buy into Olympus for this reason because until I did I didn't know about it, but if I had of done, the decision would have been even easier, I find this forum extremely valuable and look forward to being more of a "giver" in terms of value as my experience grows.

I have a good friend who has upgraded from a Canon 30D to a 40D which for Canon users is an excellent move given the value for money the 40D now is. Does anybody happen to know of on-line resources a Canon user, especially a new 40D user, would find valuable in the way this forum and others are for Oly?

For example, if there was a Canon EOS equivalent of the "bible" for getting the most of out the E-System, the fantastic http://www.wrotniak.net/photo/43/index.html that would be a real help to somebody who's not especially technical in their photography outlook, but by the same token would appreciate knowing how to get their shiny new 40D set up to maximise its potential in the way so many of us have with our shiny new E-3s!

I've asked a Canon user mate of mine and he recommends the huge Photography on the Net forum:

EOS Magazine forum looks OK:

POTN members can be a bit 'clan-like' and very condecending with replies - unlike here

Another good resourse for all things photography is www.talkphotography.co.uk

TPF is a multi format forum, but it has a strong Canon / Nikon bias (as many a Oly user will confirm )
