A bit of a departure...

... from my normal subjects. This shell was sitting on a driftwood log on the beach last week before the snow melted (hence the white background) and I liked the textures and shapes, not to mention the colour. What do you think?

E-P2 and Panny 20mm.

The different textures but similar tones of the wood and shell are certainly highly nicely by the contrasting background. Nice shot.

Thanks - I thought of that and indeed tried it, but I was partly attracted by the colours as well as the textures.
