Well, we are assured that a no-deal exit is illegal. Of course Johnson has form on law-breaking so I don't suppose that will worry the man who not long ago was assuring us that there was a million to one chance of a no deal. How did this idiot get into power? And more to the point, why is he still there?

A no deal exit is not illegal. It would be unlawful for the PM to arrange it. It is the default position, to be imposed by the EU, if no extension is granted in the absence of a deal. It would be lawful for the EU to do that under EU law, although that would no loner apply to the UK after the exit.

Boris was put in place by his fellow idiots.

Just seen they are having a Saturday sitting of Parliament on the 20th to discuss Brexit.
Wonder what Billy Liar will have fabricated for that

Correct Harold, I should have said "unlawful". Thanks.

At a time when MPs of all political leanings are receiving serious death threats I don't think flippant comments like this are appropriate. This is not how we do democracy in our country and I hope it doesn't become the norm. By all means challenge our politicians, criticise and even ridicule them (God knows in Boris's case that's not difficult) but please, never wish them actual harm.

I hope this thread will stay on topic and not become yet another Brexit bunfight.

Not much change then for the average tourist, travel insurance and passport control to enter the EU and UK
Never noticed any open borders when i'm in the long queues to board the Eurostar at either end

Re: No-Deal Brixit: Insurance & Travel

We take frequent holidays in Europe, but take care to avoid France.

I believe those countries will be pragmatic enough to want my money so expect little change to occur.

Main bugbear is long queues at passport control when getting back to the UK, it always seems to take them by surprise when a plane full of folks arrive at the gate.
