Spittle of Glen Muick

So there I was on holiday in Scotland doing my best to take some landscape pictures for this months competition, only to find that I've been beaten to is on a Spittle of Glen Muick photo...

So here's a couple I won't be entering into the competition!

Re: Spittle of Glen Muick

#4 for me, it's a cracking composition with vibrant colours that really catch the eye.

Looks like Lochnagar in the background centre. That's one that I've not 'done', and in my opinion is the best of the bunch.

Yes it is Lochnagar in the background. We were going to go and walk up that having arrived the previous evening intending to park the motorhome in the car park over night, but "no overnight parking" made us move back down the road, we were about halfway back when we found a wonderful sheltered place to park up so did.

As Liz was home in the next-door property we got visited by the police who checked us out as potential journalists - a camera with a big lens worried them!

So rather than turn around and drive to the car park, we simply headed off from where we parked for the day, especially as having seen four separate herds of deer the previous evening. The hill wasn't quite a Munroe as it was only around 700m high.I'm still trying to identify which one it was! Edit: Probably Fashielach.

Wow. Stunning images (all of them) but if I had to pick just one (hard, I know) it would be #4 from post 1 but this is just pipped by the image in post 7.

Re: Spittle of Glen Muick

Decided to print a couple out, and was asked for a copy of the deer... I guess I "could" have sold it, but I've simply given it away! Too soft hearted!

I've printed out the Lock Muick on in post 7 and the mountain top view (image 4 from post 1)

So it was a trip to the local printers this morning!
