Help with Crop

I wonder if anyone would like to advise on a crop for this shot it's right from the camera resized for web, I have others in this series but this is the only one with at least one of them looking up. I may have this one printed to hang on my wall I really like this one but I think it needs to crop a little off the top & bottom.

Re: Help with Crop

612...twice as wide as tall...I think you could use that ratio from the top of the image...

Re: Help with Crop

Ok here is what I have done to the above image.

I'm thinking if too much is cropped of the bottom that will start to loose the effect of them being on the crest of the hill.

Here is another one from today.

Re: Help with Crop

I thik I'd try a letterbox crop.

Neither of these are quite right, but might give you an idea of what I mean

BTW, the colours are loads better in the one you've edited

Re: Help with Crop

Thanks Ellie, yeah I was almost shooting into the sun which seemed to wash out the color. I pulled of the side of the road, and was setting in the car when these were shot.
