Living in Hope

Just under 10 years (May) ago I did 2 things

1. Got married to the wonderful lady I am still married to
2. Got my first DSLR my E-500 that is now used when I'm doing car maintenance and covered in Oil (poor thing)

This year I plan to do 2 things, One is certain one is not

1. Go back to Rome where we took our honeymoon - that one is booked
2. Maybe get another camera

I just read this on a Well Known Rumours Site

I've held back from Micro 4/3 because of the investment I have in 4/3 and the kit is still good (if heavy) - with the amount of work travel I do these days I am always borrowing her E-620 but it would be nice...

Honestly I doubt it will be the one I want (EM-1 II) in time but one can Live in Hope

Regards
Andy

One of those cameras (OLYMPUS - STYLUS TG-TRACKER) seems like a GoPro alternative while the OLYMPUS - IM001 might be the type that takes photos 'where the sun don't shine' & I ain't talkin' about caves or mines in the earth! But I could be wrong with the date being 2/10/2016 & may well be the E-M1 Mk II then maybe your wish will come true for an announcement at Photokina later this year.

EDIT, I realised the date is actually that 'back to front American style' & is 10th Feb 2016. So maybe that periscope type thingy is it.

More addition. Maybe the IM001 is to work with this. http://www.olympusaustralia.com.au/P...ail/902/IMH-20 found here. http://www.olympusaustralia.com.au/D...ion/21/Medical

Re: Living in Hope

You might be better to consider the EM-1, at least most of the bugs have been ironed out already, and you know it will perform well for your trip, but beware of a massive culture shock when you see the menus
And congratulations on the anniversary, a nice milestone.

Re: Living in Hope

I'll probably rely on my trusty E-30 and pro lenses...

Re: Living in Hope

I suggest an E-M1 and MMF2/3 as this will be a leap in itself.

This will be much affordable too
