Lizard, Bristol Zoo...

Hi All

Here's two pics I took on a recent trip to Bristol Zoo. I must admit that when my mate asked me if I wanted to accompany him and his son on this trip, I was not particularly impressed as my recollections of Bristol Zoo were that it was fairly poor by comparison. However, I will admit that things have improved significantly since I was last there - which was around 10 years ago. What a great place it is now... not my 1st choice of places to go no, but very good nonetheless.

I was impressed with this Lizard, who was turning greener every few seconds. I managed these two until a cumbersome lady banged into the lens whilst I had it placed at my eye. All she could do was moan... no thought for the fact she had just effectively lamped me one in the eye!

Still having a little trouble with the EXIF and Zenfolio plugins, so here's the data:

Lizard 1: 1/50th, f3.5, ISO800, E-3, 50-200mm

Lizard 2: 1/30th, f3.5, ISO200, E-3, 50-200mm

I really wish I could pick a fault just for the sake of it, but I can't. They really are stunningly good.

He was impressed by your E3 - that's why he was turning green!

Nice shots!

What a great shot, sharp as hell, well done. There is some green on the 2nd shot on the branch I am wondering what that is, still a great shot though.

It's quite probably a combination of the green and brown lights that were inside the enclosure. I only increased the saturation in LR by +1, it simply didn't need any more!
