Re: lenses

I recently bought the 50-200 SWD f2.8-3.5 4/3's lens to use with the MMF-3 adapter on the E-M1 because it has PD-AF but the SWD lens would not work so well on the E-M5 CD-AF only, however the M40-150 f2.8 Pro lens also is available with the MC14 1.4 X teleconverter & many are singing its praises quite highly. That would be a good option for you on the E-M5. If you don't have a grip for it then that can be had cheaply here for $149 (half price).

Re: lenses

Hi Roberta,

Well personally I would say .... "without doubt, the 40-150 F2.8 Pro" ,

It is so sharp that the results can often 'knock your socks off' !

The only 'fly in the ointment' I can see is that The OMD's are not as reliable at BIF as your Canon most likely is.

Kind regards, Simon

Re: lenses

I'm still using my Canons for wildlife along with my Tamron 150-600.
My 100-400L has been put in storage as I don't use it these days.
I tried the Oly 75-300 but wasn't very impressed with the IQ compared to my Canons.
I bought the 40-150 (cheap version) and have to admit to being rather impressed.
The PRO version is even better but bigger and heavier which kinda defeats the purpose for me as I wanted something smaller and lighter to lug around.
Mind you, its still smaller and lighter than my usual setup

Until the rumoured Oly 300 f4 becomes reality, my Canons will still be my first choice.

For everything else its my E-M1 these days
