Re: Whats your current favorite lens?

I've got the 14-54 Mk1, have you ever compared the MkI and MkII versions, I know the II has better CDAF capability and they have rounded the aperture blades, how much difference does this make to images, I think it's meant to have improved the out of focus areas i.e. better bokeh etc, is it noticeable?

I had both for a short while and carried out a back to back comparison. The differences in sharpness and bokeh were microscopic, almost undetectable IMHO. However, the difference in live view focussing were enormous :-)

Re: Whats your current favorite lens?

has to be the 9-18 at the moment. Makes me get closer to point of interest and make me look at things differently.

the 150mm f2 was the favorite while it was briefly on the camera.

Re: Whats your current favorite lens?

My favourite lens is still the ZD 50mm Macro, but the one I have been carrying around and using the most just lately is the 70-300mm.

Another one for the 70-300mm, very versatile and useful. Have used it on butterflies to Chinook helicopters with great results.

14-54 Mk2 and Panasonic 20mm. However, I've just taken delivery of a mZuiko 14-150 for the GH2. I'll have to give it a trial this weekend down in Gloucestershire and see.

Re: Whats your current favorite lens?

Probably the 12-60 but have just bought a 25mm pancake and that may be for a little wuntil the 'boy toy' effect wears off.

Re: Whats your current favorite lens?

My Fav lens is my 50-200mm I love using it for portraits with out of focus backgrounds, but im limited to how much I can use with the distance needed from the subject, so my 12-60mm is my workhorse and on the camera 80% of the time and although I love it too, I prefer the quality of the 50-200

Re: Whats your current favorite lens?

The 14-54 for me currently. It's a great compromise between the kit lens and the 12-60.

Is it ?

I certainly love mine and have therefore not been tempted by the 12-60 (yet)

Andy

Another 12-60 user with the 50-200 a close second.
