Help needed

I am considering purchasing a Sigma 150mm f/2.8 EX IF HSM Macro lens. Could anyone tell me what a reasonable price would be for a used one.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Help needed

I have been looking for a while for one of these lenses second hand without success. They seem to pretty rare on the used market and, from what I've read, a superb lens. I would imagine a used one would command a high price. They are on the Warehouse Express website at 569 Sigma 150mm f/2.8 macro lens

Re: Help needed

I would certainly pay that price for one in perfect condition.

Got any more at that price?

Reckon that's a good deal you got there.

Re: Help needed

This lens for Canon or Nikon fit can be purchased for 479.95 Sigma 150mm f2.8

The Four Thirds fit is more expensive (don't why this is so ) at the price shown earlier above and fewer retailers seem to stock this version.

You did make sure that your purchase was for the Four Thirds fit, didn't you? I can't see any Four Thirds versions on Fleebay but there are several non Four Thirds in Hong Kong which I would be wary of regarding UK warranty.

Sorry to barge in on this thread but I wonder why 4/3 mount Sigma lenses are more expensive than the canikon counterparts?

Re: Help needed

The 150mm macro is a super lens. I am sure Nick and many others here use it for their awesome macro shots. It's certainly one on my radar.

Hey Garrie - I'd say it's likely to be a combination of market demand, the number of them that are made, and the fact that the lens elements would need to be different/specific for the 4/3 crop.

I would be very interested in seeing some shots from this lens at the extremes of it's aperture range.
