Old 300mm Lens

Hi,
Thought this might be of interest to you out there who are into using old glass came across this Olympus Zuiko Auto T 300mm.

Fascinating. Probably good value for the right buyer. It's the old OM fitting so would need an adapter and be only manual focus, and obviously not have the image stabilisation of the modern (expensive) 300 f/4. If you can live with those limitations, as people did for most of the history of photography, and fancy heritage lenses, you don't have to stick to Olympus. There's lots of affordable old glass and adapters are quite cheap.

I had one of these when I had my E3 but sold it. Have fancied another for my EM1.2, but I might be disappointed with the results. I am sure that my 75-300 is likely to be better at the long end.

I saw that lens in the window of Aylesbury Oxfam several weeks ago (and have also resisted on a few subsequent occasions).
