Oly 75-300 with EE-1 Dot Sight.

Olympus EE-1 Dot Sight for Cameras with Hot Shoe: Amazon.co.uk: Camera & Photo Olympus EE-1 Dot Sight for Cameras with Hot Shoe: Amazon.co.uk: Camera & Photo

Don't get too excited I haven't got it yet, it's not released untill the 27th of March, I've pre-ordered it though.

I recently acquired a 75-300 from a fellow member, it's the very first time I've had a lens that long, 600mm in FF.

At 300 I could not locate a thing in the viewfinder, if the Dot Sight lives up to my expectations it should be a great asset, especially as I wear specs.

I've recently discovered it's battered powered.

Too true, I'm forever zooming out to compose (i.e. find the damn thing) and then zooming in to take the shot.

Please let us know how the dot sight fares in real life situations.

Imagine the fun I have with my old 400mm and 600mm (800 & 1200 eqiv)

I've been using DiY versions, cobbled together from gun sights, so may just see if one pops up on eBay
