Re: NO TOP GEAR - This Sunday...

What makes it more of a shame or sham is that most of the driving is done by stunt me NOT the three stooges!

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy TG most of the time and I respect the drivers who do the driving but knowing what I do takes the edge off the program. Basically they do the talking and as little driving as possible: watch the shots and see how often you can see the driver and then who it is :-)

Re: NO TOP GEAR - This Sunday...

David Cameron has said his children will be heartbroken if Top Gear is taken off air?

Really? How bizarre that the PM thinks of intervening in this situation or does he see 500,000 votes up for grabs?

Perhaps his kids need to get out more so he can drive off and leave them behind which would be a great TG episode.

All because he couldn't get a steak. He was too full of himsef in my humble opinion. Should be a better programme without him.

Re: NO TOP GEAR - This Sunday...

I know that I'm becoming increasingly cynical and suspicious in my old age, but I can't help but wonder if this latest Top Gear controversy has been carefully choreographed to gain maximum publicity and notoriety.

If it's deemed that the fracas happened outside the workplace, in a restaurant for instance, it could let him and the BBC of the hook.

Re: NO TOP GEAR - This Sunday...

only until recently I had given up on Top Gear, finding it repetitive, predictable, boring and repetitive.

But for some reason I was really enjoying this series, and had even starting watching a few old ones on 'Dave' (stupid name for a TV channel and no offence meant to human Daves')

I think he will go....as will the other two, but only as far as another channel. If not, even though I was beginning to wonder how long the present format could survive I will miss it.

Wonder what the media in Argentina are saying?

I wish the entire cast of eastenders could have a mass brawl somewhere......(tin hat on and heads for cover)

Maybe it's because before he became PM he worked for Carlton TV in communications (where he was allegedly despised) and his now looking for another job in advance of losing the election or being asked to stand down as PM for the next election.

Don't get rid of the soaps, keep the Mrs distracted while I look at new gear....not that I should be buying any for some time.

How could anyone possibly despise David Cameron?
