Recommendations for canvas printing

I have been asked to get a shot printed on canvas, there is one problem though! I have not got a clue as I have never done this before. Has anyone got any opinions or recommendations?

I would love to hear them if you would be kind enough to share your experiences.

Cheers

Chris

Photobox do this (I think) just check out their web site

Also Staples shops that have print centres will print images onto canvas prints and mount them on wooden frames.

Although I cannot understand why people spend vast sums of money on lenses to give clear images then go and print the image onto a surface that hides the definition - but then I do not have taste.

Re: Recommendations for canvas printing

I have had several canvas prints produced by a company called Point101.

Photos are uploaded online - their service is efficient and the results are of a consistently very high quality. They are not the cheapest, but I know I get good quality.

I have no connection with them apart from as a customer and I highly recommend them.

I've used Snapmad.com and they give a great service and fast turn around time too, check out their website for prices, instructions on photo preparation, image size and resolution etc.

Re: Recommendations for canvas printing

Snapmad are excellent, top quality and reasonable price. Just remember, as with any canvas print, to allow plenty of dead space around the image for the wrap-around. It's too easy to end up with a tighter crop than you envisaged (as I found out!).
