New Lens

I have just got myself a 14-54mm 1:2.8-3.5 courtesy of ebay (It seem a bit of a good deal) It is a bit of a beast next to my kit lens. I hope to have a mornings shooting tomorrow

I don't think you will regret it. I find mine to be sharp, satisfying and strangely confidence building

Mind you, it doesn't look too comfortable on the front of my PEN

Re: New Lens

It lets in so much more light than the kit lens : this is good for both isolating focus and allowing the camera to autofocus fast ... at least that's what I find.

Re: New Lens

I haven't touched my kit lens since buying this one. You'll love it, I promise!

Hopefully my one for sale here is almost as good a bargain?

Do you prefer your PL 14-50 over the Oly 14-54?

If my E-1 had IS I'd probably have kept with the 14-54. I never take the camera out in the wet so I traded weatherproofing for a little extra effective speed with the in built IS of the PL.
