I think there is a 'lost in translation' problem; PAL colour is definitely supported but the video functionality only supports 30fps recording (not 25 or 50 for most European and other countries that use the PAL broadcast standard). Most modern TVs will automatically sync to the frequency of the video automatically. You might have a problem with a very old TV.

I wonder why there's so much concern then? At least a couple of reviews highlighted this point. Even Oly themselves apparently agree with their own mistake??? (Probably nothing unusual there).
As far as I'm concerned, as long as it works in a basic fashion I'm OK with it. I don't buy stills cameras to shoot video: video is a "nice-to-have" feature, that's all.
