Ciao ... John

SRS & WEX are doing pre orders for £529 and no it is not weather sealed.

This will most likely be replacing my E-PL5 at a later date.

As it's smaller there should be more gold trim to make it more flashy when around the neck.

Re: Compact all-metal OM-D E-M10 completes Olympus' high-end mirrorless line-up

I think it will be much nicer to use than an E-M5 if you do bracketing, mysets, legacy lens focus peaking, wifi control and want the 2x2 Dials usability. E-M5 sales are going to have trouble. Hence the hurried firmware upgrade.

Re: Compact all-metal OM-D E-M10 completes Olympus' high-end mirrorless line-up

Hi I have read the lurb on the Oly Euro site it only has 3 axis image stableing as opposed to 5 aixs on EM5 no weather seal, I think the EM5 would still sell as it is near the body only price, and it is alot smaller than the EM5 which to me is small to hold properly.

Re: Compact all-metal OM-D E-M10 completes Olympus' high-end mirrorless line-up

Depending on price of course, I think the new E-M5 Pro kit looks like a lovely package - a slightly tweaked E-M5 body plus the lovely 12-40 lens. For those who don't already have either and don't need Big43 lens compatibility this looks like a great way in to the higher-end OM-Ds.

That is not to take anything away from the E-M10 which is aiming at a different target. As David (I think) said, perhaps that one will turn out to be the descendant of the OM-10 which sold in industrial quantities because it hit the sweet spot in the market.

Ciao ... John

What a pretty little thing it is too and it has a pop-up flash.
