Jim:

Love the Sage glinting in the sun - knowing one of the planners involved in the decisions about this building I can see why they were worried about the choice of materials for the roof and the risk of 'dazzling' people with the reflections.
The fisheye image shows the challenges and fun to be had with this lens too - I think that I would find it quite hard to cope at times with it!

Glad the trip back was good and enjoyed the chat!

Regards
Chris

You all obviously had a fantastic day, taking many great pictures with tremendous variety. Wish I could have joined you but it's a long way from Essex!

It's great to see so many meets being arranged all around the country.

Re: Newcastle visit 14th May images

Having just placed a GPS/Google Earth log of a walk onto another post, it reminded me that I had logged the morning session of our wander around the streets of Newcastle down to the Quayside and then finishing at the Sage Music Centre for mid-day coffee.
I guess in the afternoon that we must have packed a bit more mileage in, as the return journey included going back into the centre of town. Including my visits to some of the evening events I reckon that I did another 4-5miles of street pounding - I think that my lunch was had at about 7pm!

The log doesn't seem entirely accurate as it occasionally crosses the road when I can't remember doing that - possible due to the buildings affecting the accuracy of the satellite fixes. Distance by the way was about 2 miles in the morning.

Regards
Chris
