I hope this does it. Another from Central Arcade though. I need to get my money's worth after slipping this guy some cash for picture rights Doesn't seem to be working for me does it? Cheers Peter
If you mean to show the photo at larger size on your posting, the way to do it is
  • click on 'Gallery' heading at top of the E-System page, then go to 'My Photos'
  • click on the photograph that you want to copy - this will show the smaller of two image size options, so click on the image again to bring up the larger version if you want
  • Go to the 'Photo Details' shown below the image and click in the box below "Copy code below to display original image in forum post:" - you will have to go to the top of the browser window and select 'Edit' then 'Copy' as the E-system webpages don't unfortunately allow right click & copy
  • Having copied the link, go to your new posting and select 'Edit' again then 'Paste' into the body of the text where required
  • Hopefully, when you then 'Preview Post' below the text box the message will show the full size image for you to check
  • 'Submit Reply' and then all of us will be able to admire and enjoy!

Regards
Chris

Architectural curves from under the viaduct.

Nice lamppost on the low-level swing-bridge.

I didn't see or hear anything but 'orrible seagulls and their guano.
Yes, south end of the Tyne Bridge.

This looked so 'Art-Deco'

Seventeenth and sixteenth century quayside buildings, awesome woodwork.

Cool-dudes sell curry too.

In the middle of Northumberland Street sits a building apparently covered in cake icing.

I have no complaints with the sharpness and resolving power of this e-P1 & 17mm pancake. This is 100% crop = 1000 pixels out of 4000+ original, i.e.less than 1/16th of the total image. Newcastle has awesome rooves!

These taken with e-P1 & 17mm, Jpeg.

Re: Newcastle visit 14th May images

I am enjoying all of your images. Keep them coming.
Probably a bit premature, but any thoughts on the next meeting?
Hopefully I would be free to attend.

A selection of my wife's favourites taken with her e-600 & 40-150MkII kit zoom, mostly one-handed too.

Flag in the window.

Clock on the tall spire.

Looks like you all had a great time. Too many nice shots to mention!

I can't come back to blighty yet, but you're all welcome to come to Shanghai!

David.

Re: Newcastle visit 14th May images

And now something you may not have been expecting ... SHARK!

Check pockets for change before crossing.

Quality ironwork/lionwork. Roar.

...the 'Mysterious Steps' below the castle gatehouse, descending to nothing. We had a long discussion here.

Four taken with Hexanon 50mm on e-410, manually focused with OVF, mostly F2-to-4ish.

Re: Newcastle visit 14th May images

Some fab shots there Ulfric from you both - think I can place most of them. The shark certainly was worth capturing, but who would realise what it was advertising!! The lens has done a good job in the last set and its interesting to see the variety of camera/lens photos that you took through-out the day.

Regards
Chris

Re: Newcastle visit 14th May images

Yeah Ulfric, you saw things I didn't and the camera/lens performed very well. Though I loved the shark, the steps make a brilliant pic, very sharp. Must carry my E410 around more. Cheers Peter

Re: Newcastle visit 14th May images

Hi Guys
Sorry it has taken me so long. The journey back was easy for a Sunday - No works on the line.

I had a great time and it was fun to meet you all. (Even listening to details of slaking lime was interesting Chris).
Here are a few of mine - really rather sub-stanard compared to other stuff on the thread.

Gate to Chinatown (Yes Newcastle has one)

Previously seen busker

A couple of shots of the Wildlife we encountered - They looked predatory and dangerous!!

Shot of the Bridge with a LR Antique overlay and a bit of PP
