Superior 4/3 gear deal

I have been buying micro 4/3 gear for the last 9 months and find myself committed to the small size approach. All this time my Oly 4/3 gear has been sitting around waiting to be called into service, and I feel really guilty about not using this wonderful Oly stuff. It has, and could continue to serve me well, given two pairs of hands and eyes.

The E30 is a superb camera which Olympus did not make in huge quantities and it is currently rarely on sale used. Mine is in excellent condition and it mates perfectly, and for me, almost permanently with the Zuiko 12-60 lens. These two together cover an amazing range of photographic situations and I have happily carried this kit around daylong.

I also have the Sigma 105mm macro, the Zuiko 8mm fisheye, and the Zuiko 70-300mm lenses. My trekking lens is the Zuiko 18-180mm, an extremely versatile lens for a ready for anything lightweight day out (teamed with my E510 or E410).

These have been (are) great friends of mine and I am reluctant to part with them. It almost feels like treachery.

Also, I hate the whole process of selling anything so I want to try to get this process over quickly, simply and with the least possible fuss.

This is my offer:

Olympus E30 plus Zuiko 12-60mm, Zuiko 8mm fisheye and Sigma 105mm macro together 1100.

Separately (but reluctantly and I will not sell the E30 body only) 400 each, and if anyone will take the three together I'll add in the Zuiko 70-300mm at no extra charge.

If this set sells I will take offers for the 18-180mm superzoom.

I know this is a rambling post but it has been hard to write, so bear with me. I can deliver in NE England or despatch as normal by post. Payment methods we can discuss.

I am open to discussion around the scheme I have outlined. A PM would start things off.

Ready to hear from you. Chemop

Re: Superior 4/3 gear deal

Thanks for the kind thought. I have the adapter Yorky and have used it with my EM5, 12-60 and 70-300, also the 25mm pancake, but I've had to make a decision to focus. I am under no external pressure but I have too much gear sitting waiting to be used, and others could make good use of my surplus.
Cheers Chemop

Re: Superior 4/3 gear deal

I downsized from the E5 a few months since but kept those 2 blenses, I bundled the rest in a box and Ffords collected them, over a couple of month sold everything-yes you heve to pay their percentage but I thought it worth it as it saved a lot of bother of selling privately. The epl 5 suits my needs and is a lot easier to carry etc. I may upgrade to the new pen, havn't decided yet but otherwise the results from the epl 5 continue to amaze me.

Re: Superior 4/3 gear deal

The Sigma 105mm 1:2.8 on its own is available at 400. It's a rare animal with the 4/3 fitting and gives brilliant results! I have found the 105 working distance really useful with small nervous critters. It has been very lightly used and comes with a lens hood and zipped black carrying case.

Re: Superior 4/3 gear deal

Thanks Alfbranch for that info. I appreciate it. I don't really know what to say except that I would rather sell the whole package as one anyway, and if I have to negotiate on the final price of the package then so be it. Perhaps the eBay deal is right for you, but I can assure you that my 105 is in very good condition, and optionally usable on my OMD with the adapter if unsold now.
To be honest I would rather not to be involved in this selling process altogether but it is an unavoidable necessity if this good but under-used gear is to find a worthy home. I will always be fully efficiently co-operative and helpful to any potential buyers, and look forward to an approach.

Re: Superior 4/3 gear deal

When are you going to list the superior gear?

Re: Superior 4/3 gear deal

David, my superior deal has not changed except that the 70-300mm zoom is currently in process of being sold, thus requiring a small marginal change.
So I'm offering the following superior package :

Olympus E30 plus Zuiko 12-60mm, plus Zuiko 8mm fisheye plus Sigma 105mm macro, together for 1100, including despatch by RMSD.

If I receive an acceptable offer for this full package I will add in a Zuiko 4/3 25mm 1:2.8 pancake at no extra charge. I hope you agree this qualifies as a superior deal. Cheers Chemop

Re: Superior 4/3 gear deal

Received a 70-300mm lens from Chemop this morning. He was a pleasure to deal with and very quick in posting it. Lens was a good price and is in excellent condition.

Thanks again

Re: Superior 4/3 gear deal

Hi Chemop,
I live not far from you and I am interested in the E30 and Zuiko 12-60mm.

If I had spotted this before the 50 -300 went I might have taken the lot.

Any thoughts?
