E30 plus selected lenses

I have reluctantly come to the decision to sell my E30, 25240 actuations currently, and in excellent condition. Included is a Lowpro case and battery.
I will advertise it formally after Christmas when the postal system has returned to normal. I am thinking of a price around £400 body only or I'll include my very useful all-day lens, the Zuiko 18-180mm for £500 total including RMSD.
I also have the superb and difficult to find Sigma FT fit 105mm macro lens but I am reluctant to sell that separately as it works so well with the E30 and its flip-out screen.
If anyone would like to express an early interest please send me a PM and we can arrange to discuss some details. Happy Christmas to all Oly shooters.

There have been many attestations over the years that that the E-30 is the body the E-3 should have been.

Significant differences are:

1.) The E-3 has a magnesium alloy body and is weathersealed. The E-30 has a composite body and is not weathersealed.

2.) The E-3 is 155 grams heavier (890 gm) than the E-30.

3.) The E-30 is a 13mp camera (12.3mp effective). The E-3 is a 12mp camera (10.1mp effective).

If you look up the E-30 full review on DPR, you will find a full and detailed side-by-side comparison of the E-30, E-3 and E-620. With regard to the scope of functional parameters, the two are almost identical.

Those points being made, I chose the E-30 over the E-3 and have been well satisfied with its performance. I've also had it out in a lot of weather with no ill effects (knock on wood), though in heavy rain my system is to wear it under my rain parka and bring it out only when actually photographing.

It shares the Oly sensor susceptibility to noise at high ISO, but you won't even begin to gain ground on that with anything less than the E-5. Lightroom 4 does a very good job of taking the curse off high ISO/low light artifacts . . . by the way.

Mine (I actually have two bodies) have seen a lot of miles and I have no intention of making a change.

Other differences are the E-3/5 has a bigger viewfinder and a higher rated shutter than the E-30.

Re: E30 plus selected lenses

I found the E-30 to be a much nicer handling body than the E-5.
I've always been of the opinion that the E-3/5 bodies are overtly bulky considering the majority of 4/3rds glass and the sensor size.
