Newcastle visit 14th May - something to see!

With the visit scheduled for Saturday, I thought some of you might like to anticipate just some of the photo opportunities available. Hope to see you there. Cheers Peter

Looks like a 180 panorama on a narrow but straight lane - so I guess that the mid point of the panorama is very close to the camera while either end of the lane is more distant and the stitching software therefore creates this interesting 'distortion' - I'm assuming it's not a right angle lane?

Regards
Chris

The first one I think is taken from the viewing platform at the Baltic.

A little deliberate distortion to make a long narrow pano viewable. It is all on a nearly straight alley behind the Sage concert hall - and the graffiti change regularly. Didn't you like it? Peter

I only noticed this lane at the back of the Sage a month or two back but had never explored it - I quite like graffiti but, as with tatoos, I prefer the artistic and well drawn versions where, like this wall, the colours add vibrancy to an otherwise fairly dull and shaded area!

Regards
Chris
