Re: We all have to start somewhere (sometimes you can blame the tools)

Hi Keith,

In the circumstances not a bad shot, I take it you had to crop heavily

Given the right lens things would have been a lot different.

A case for the Bigma!

Regards

Gavin

Keith

Even the Bigma would have been strugling there, when I go out taking bird photographs I normally shoot 1000 + images and maybe half a dozen are good you realy need a 300 f/2.8 for the speed and autofocus to get birds in flight, I have to admit that is why the canon guys do so much better but an E3/E30 with the oly 300 will give them a run for their money.

Its still a good shot.

Re: We all have to start somewhere

Thanks Cavin and Barrie...

Yes I know I need better kit to capture a lot of things I attempt...but it's so hard not to go for 'em.It all adds up to gaining experience though.

I tried for a 50-500 earlier in the year but out of my range now.

Had a trip out with a Canonman with the 40D and 100-400L today and saw what some better stuff can do.

I was expecting to get an E30 earlier this week but my comp entry was not good enough.....he he..

Thanks for looking

keith
