Lovely. Now picture that in Lincolnshire (if you can find a viewpoint over 200 feet high).

Just ten big fields worth.

Re: Patchwork Quilt

I have always been fascinated by the "patchwork quilt" landscapes that I saw when visiting England. I'm sorry that we didn't make it to Wales - we could have but went to Scotland instead.
I would love to have done a mountain train trip for which Wales is famous for. If I'm not mistaken some steep section of the track has cogs on it to augment the train's climb.
Maybe you have some pictures of it to share, and if not, then you better go get some before snow closes the line!

I agree Lincolnshire is fairly flat, but there is a few place not far from Lincoln to see a patchwork of field. The Lincoln Edge which runs North to South through Lincoln. Burton Road looking towards the Trent valley looks very good especially when the fields of oil seed rape are in flower. The other side of the city towards Grantham at the villages of Coleby, Navenby etc. Areas of the Wolds where you can a view point and see for miles. I live near Doncaster but still class Lincoln as my home town

Yes, now I remember, Snowdon it was. I have never forgotten the tv doco, it impressed me as a great experience with surely loads of photo ops. Is it far from where you live, and is it a terribly expensive trip?

A mountain of much character your opening shot.

Re: Patchwork Quilt

Yes, I thought it might be getting too late for Snowdon, as it won't be long before it gets .... er no, I won't say it, it must be the oldest pun in Wales, and Dylan and Richard would turn in their graves!
