Cold Snaps

Well it is cold today and these are just snaps!

Taken this morning with my Olympus XZ-1, as I no longer have an E-System camera, during a (very) short walk.

Re: Cold Snaps

Both are fabulous. The crocus photo emerging through the snow is my favourite.........

Re: Cold Snaps

Liking the first one. It reminded me of another red phone box in Norway and under similar circumstances... also with an XZ-1.

Pleased to see that you are still able to get out and about.

Re: Cold Snaps

I was pleased to get out, even if I didn't go far. Both these pictures were taken within 500 yards from home. The crocuses were thoughtfully planted in a raised garden beside the pavement, so I didn't have to bend too far. Shame I framed the phone box too tight to the top of the frame but it was so bright I had difficulty viewing the screen and shaky hands didn't help. On the plus side the bright light let me use a fast shutter speed! One advantage of the XZ-1 is it is no bother to carry.

Re: Cold Snaps

I don't think you could take a "snap" John even if you tried. Your natural photographers eye would just take over . Couple of nice shots there with the XZ-1. You've done a lot better than I have in the last couple of days, hardly been out of the house myself. Even the snowflake shot I took yesterday was from inside through the double glazing!

I think you are wise, Phill, I'm going nowhere today!

Fabulous 'Christmas card' opening, John. Love the yellow flower too.
