Re: Crop and edit this picture

oops -

First was a mono - contrast - sharpen - page curl - flip

Second - up saturation - edge detect - colourify (in a new layer) and partial merge back - play with red/green saturation - seperately up red saturation on pot - weave.

Re: Crop and edit this picture

Just back from London and spotted this thread... super thread it is too! Here's my stab at amending the image.

Method: create 2 images from original at +-1 EV, open in Photomatix and play!!

I think we (some of us) could learn quite a lot.

This one's for starters.

It was taken through a gap in a fence on a very bright day
Brilliant idea Ellie

Re: Crop and edit this picture

Levels/Curves to emphasise what colours/contrasts there are
Duplicate Layer
GIMP oilify with large smear and exponent
merge back at about 60% to bring back the definition

Re: Crop and edit this picture

Wow! What an amazing response.

I haven't got a favourite, I'm very surprised by the variation though. There are some brilliant results from your hard work

When this picture's run its course I hope somebody else will post a new one
