You know you've arrived...

... when your A0 photoframe order is so big it arrives on a pallet.

That is big - fill it wisely.

Re: You know you've arrived...

There is a big open day at the company to show off a new building and the walls are all bare. So I have printed off a dozen 35x20 inch pano pictures to go in these giant frames. They are about the right size for the rooms concerned, but they would clearly be OTT in a private house.

You can stretch a single m4/3 file to fill that size of print and it will be good from a distance. If you have a 2 or 3 shot stitched pano then it will look fantastic, even close up.

Ideally the pictures would be presented behind beveled white card but we just don't have the time. As it was 6 of the 25 frames arrived damaged.

Sorry to hear about the damaged frames, hopefully you have enough spares. Should look awesome.

If it looks anything like awesome, I will take a snap (sorry, a photograph) and post it here. Ultimately I want to get 20+ pictures up so everyone has something pretty to look at. The building is 33000 sq feet, and divided up that adds up to an awful lot of wall space.

I do not want pictures of our products on the wall, or inspirational management epithets.

For the smaller R+D building where I work - I want to do a nice macro of a shiny valve (heater glowing) against a black background. Style.

if they got for the latter I highly recommend https://despair.com/ as the best source for such. I often use them im my team briefings... they work with the british sense of humour, not sure my US management would like it though.

Andy

But it's a US company, how could they be that unpatriotic?

Don't mock. Demotivation is a very powerful and underrated management tool.

Re: You know you've arrived...

So: You might think a 35x20 inch pano in a 4ft x 3ft frame is a big deal, but they still end up looking small if the room is large enough...

And as for the stress of drilling holes in our new building the week before the open day - don't ask...

Pete

Re: You know you've arrived...

I once put up some of my natural history photos on the walls of a meeting room at work and was surprised by how many visitors asked questions about them
