Oh, drool drool! And I can confirm from experience that Simon really does look after his kit and only buys the best.

Thanks John, yes the 4Ti is a stunner but alas I cannot keep everything. I have too many film cameras and the two new Leica M lenses I have ordered are price wise 'rather eye watering' so I think the Hasselblad will be up next

Kind regards, Simon

Hi David,

Never wanted the 90 as I have the 100 F2 and 50 F2 macro, guess I'm not a true Zuikoholic

135mm ... no, actually all of them are 'single coated', the f3.5 along with the 28 F3.5 remained S/C throughout their entire production life.

180 F2 ... even harder to find than hens teeth.

Kind regards, Simon

Hi Phil,

Yes the 5kII really has rekindled my 'digital' mojo. I'm still a committed film user and plan to 'run with' the 5kII and my two Leica m's.

I hope it goes to a good home too, it was quite a wrenching decision to put it up for sale, but alas how much gear does one guy need.

Kind regards, Simon

Hi Paul,

Well, yes I will fell 'sorrow' to see it go but at the end of the day if I don't reduce my film collection I know what will happen with the 5mkII .... it will not get used enough and I'll be back to square-one with digital ... i.e. not using it.

Kind regards, Simon

Hi Chevvy,

Thanks, it is indeed a wonderful system but I cannot logically hold onto everything. Also the two new Leica M limited edition lenses that are on the way to me cost a 'pretty penny' so even I have to sometimes put logic and good common-sense before my heart.

Will be a shame, but hey-ho.

Kind regards, Simon

Re: FOR SALE: My wonderful 'OM' kit

Simon - what about the Leica M6 TTL (x2), will they be up for sale shortly?
I keep looking, but quickly slam the laptop closed when the Mrs walks past.

Re: FOR SALE: My wonderful 'OM' kit

OK.... Interest thus far.....

In order of contact:-

1) mm500 ..... 4Ti, 135 F3.5 , 85 f2 , possibly 50 f1.2, 28 f2 * 100 f2
awaiting reply from mm500 thus items with exception of 135 f3.5 may well remain available.

2) pdk42 ..... 135 F3.5 , if mm500 does not decide to proceed then pdk42 will have first refusal on the 135 f3.5

3) wychbury .... possibly 'the entire outfit' , awaiting confirmation, if so and if at asking price this would be ideal, so awaiting reply from mm500

4) chris w ...... 85mm f2 & 135 f2.8 ... next in line Chris.

I'm going out to lunch now, so will check back later this afternoon,

Cheers everyone

Kind regards, Simon

Steve, gently lower it, or you "budget" will have to go on a new laptop

Re: FOR SALE: My wonderful 'OM' kit

UPDATE

OK current status.......

Reserved but not yet paid for due to one possible purchase of the entire lot and awaiting an answer on that

1) mm500 .... OM4Ti, 28mm F2, 50mm F1.2 , 100mm F2 & 135mm F3.5
2) ChrisW .... 85mm F2 , 135mm F2.8

if my offer to the 'third' party for the entire outfit is not accepted then I will proceed as above and the following two lenses will remain available.....

21mm F3.5 & Hood
50mm F2.0 Macro

If anyone is interested in these two lenses then by all means register an 'interest'

Thank you, Simon

Re: FOR SALE: My wonderful 'OM' kit

I love these Zuiko lenses and although it would be good to add some more to my collection I am concentrating my funds on MFT lenses so I'm not in the market. I'm sure the new owners will cherish them as they deserve.

Just the 21mm F3.5 & 50mm F2.0 Macro remaining now.

Re: FOR SALE: My wonderful 'OM' kit

It's too late now - I really should have sold a kidney while I had the chance.

Good luck and best wishes, though, to the fortunate recipients of this superb kit.
