Also getting the Pinky and Perky treatment. Good idea though having tutorials.

Yup - I need to re-record that

I did the recording on a laptop that has since been replaced by a faster and more up to date one.

Ian,

I want to upload my first photo, but I can't seem to find the "Upload Photo" button. My member Gallery page does not have the "Album" nor the "Upload Photo" button.

Thanks,

joeletx

Re: Video tutorial to help with uploading to the photo gallery

Can I use the url link from my E-System gallery pics to upload to other forums ?

Or is the gallery strictly for the E-System forum ?

At the moment I upload to Photobucket if I want to post on TP for example as well as uploading on here !

Regards,

Sorry for the late response! By all means use the image link to the gallery but please bear in mind that this does mean our server will be working for someone else's site, so please acknowledge the source and hopefully you will persuade some new members to join up here.

Ian, what a fantastic job you have done. I hope you are going to put it up on the forum as a 'sticky' so we can refer to it any time.

Re: Video tutorial to help with uploading to the photo gallery

Thanks Ian,
Thanks for the helpful videos & both are playing well for me with Windows 7 & IE 8. I also make sure I have plugins for the most common players.

It was helpful to pickup the URL posting link that I have been overlooking & have been just posting the original from My Photos which didn't give a clickable link back to the gallery.

From an Australian, you have a pleasant & eloquent English accent.

Re: Video tutorial to help with uploading to the photo gallery

Hi Ian...fantastic idea and well produced/easy to follow.
Wish it was available when I 1st had a go.
Are these tutorials being given a prominent place on the forums for easy access.

One thing I did not understand was this part as I thought I could only store images in the gallery and only show them in Foto Fair or looking for perfection.

I also tried copying the link to insert and it would not copy so had to use the "open" icon.

After bringing up your photo in the gallery, you do need to click once on the link provided in the box which then should be highlighted & then use Control C (to copy it & not the right click of the mouse) & then when typing your message to a post, just use Control V to paste the link in it. Does that help? I have not been doing it like that until I saw this video, so thanks to Ian for doing it.
