Ffordes

Just a word in praise of the excellent service I received when I recently purchased and returned a used camera as it was unfortunately faulty.

Although they had already agreed to give me a full refund, I even had an almost triumphant phone call in the evening earlier this week from one of their chaps to say he had finally managed to replicate the intermittent fault that I had encountered with the camera!

Will happily recommend them to anyone who hasn't come across them before.

Re: Ffordes

I have dealt with them on a few occasions. I visited them to buy my late-lamented E-1, I bought a used lens from them, and I sold a camera to them.

When I was selling the camera, which was all done via phone calls and by post, they gave me a verbal valuation which I accepted as fair, then actually gave me more once they had seen the cameras as they said it was better than they expected! Such honesty!

Re: Ffordes

I agree.
Just bought a Ringflash from them.
First time I've used them. Excellent overnight service and I'm still trying to find the signs of wear.

I bought a fair bit of used stuff from them back in OM days, and like everyone else has said their service was excellent.

Re: Ffordes

I can also vouch for this company, they are local to me and I have spent far too much money there

Re: Ffordes

And their product photos are taken with an E-410 so they must be good.

I bought a used flashgun from them in my Pentax days and I must say that service and communication was top-notch.

Re: Ffordes

I have never used them but have just had a look at their website. They are advertising a nice sounding E-30 for 449. I will keep an eye on their site now on.

Re: Ffordes Used E5 and E3s + lenses including Bigma

I notice today Ffordes seem to have had an influx of 4/3 kit - if only I had a heap of money!

Thanks for the heads up Iain.

Panny 20mm purchased for 219!

That makes this weeks haul a one month old E-PL1 & 14-42mm kit lens (with 11 months transferrable warranty), a spare BLS-1 battery, a hard screen protector and a Panasonic 20mm f1.7 for a total outlay of 384.

It has been a good week!

Re: Ffordes

I see the E-30 has gone now. Anyone here? They now have a used E-5 for 1149 and two E-3s for 549 all 'almost as new'. They also have a Bigma in similar condition for 749. An interesting site.

Re: Ffordes

I bought a used 4/3 to Rollei QBM adapter from them last month after idly visiting their site on a whim!

Pricey compared to your normal generic eBay adapters, but 4/3 to QBM adapters are like rocking horse manure to find and this was Rayqual branded one, so finally I've got infinity focus on my Planar, Distagon and Sonnar lenses!

Oh and they processed my online order and posted the item very quickly, so very pleased with them.

Re: Ffordes

They are great for that sort of thing. I just bought a Rolleiparkeil 1 close up lens from them. It cost less than they normally go for on Ebay, too.
