Re: Wasted trees (??)

Of course, it could also be the (un)intelligence of the deliverers as they leave the phone books out just before a heavy storm.

It is true though that many of us don't need the printed phone book any more. It's so much easier to consult Mr Google instead (or look up White & Yellow Pages on line).

Re: Wasted trees (??)

Looks like some did not get delivered.

Interesting factoid :- Since the advent of Business computers, paper production has risen by 500%, mostly due to Governments insisting paper records are kept for years. Somewhere, throughout the world, millions of containers sit full of dead records

I was wondering if they should been delivered to the door instead of just left on the mail boxes as many don't even get mail these days

they have been there for about a month (guessing). There are lots lying around the town.
These books are produced by a local paper and I sent them the photo as a letter to the editor. It was the same with the telsta books left on mail boxes.
They cannot be replaced totally by digital just yet but ................... . Both of mine went into the recycle bin
