the second is stunning, wonderful tonal array and detail - it would look amazing as a large canvas I reckon

Great pic of the Opera House. I know the building well and have taken many pics myself. But what I particularly like about this one is the angle on the approach. You can see all of the people - if you look closely - enjoying themselves in the lower reaches (bars and things).
