Re: Expert Shield screen protector.

I bought two of these - one for my E-M1 and the other for the E-M5. They said the screens were the same size but it seems the E-M5 is ever so slightly smaller. As a consequence the E-M5 protector has failed around the edges and eventually got pulled off taking the camera out of the bag. So whilst I agree that it's probably the best protector I've used, I'd not recommend them for the E-M5.

Re: Expert Shield screen protector.

I got one too and agree it's really good. I botched applying mine and it's ever so slightly crooked so it's just started to lift slightly at one edge where it overhangs a tiny bit.

Re: Expert Shield screen protector.

I've used this brand for a while. However, the E-M1 is thinking about lifting at one edge. Good protection with clarity, however.

Re: Expert Shield screen protector.

I use Golebo screen protectors on my E-M5, XZ-10 and phone. All have been easy to apply, fit very well and seem tough and clear.

Re: Expert Shield screen protector.

Another vote for Expert Shield from me too - the only screen protector for any device that I've managed to apply perfectly first go! No hint of lifting so far after nearly 10 months.

Re: Expert Shield screen protector.

Just another vote for expert shield, bought one, there was a spec of dust embedded into the front of the protector and they've sent a new one out no issues, very impressed and very quick.

Re: Expert Shield screen protector.

The one I had fitted to my E-M1 eventually fell off and would not re-attach. I contacted them re their warranty, but all they offered was 10% off a replacement.

Having had problems eliminating bubbles when applying protectors to phones etc., I tried the Expert Shield one and found it very successful, apart from one corner that, for some reason, hasn't "sealed" against the glass (very small <0.5mm and of no consequence).

However, the price is excessive - no wonder they can offer free replacements. Though it would seem from StephenL's post that their warranty might be a bit iffy.

When I needed one for another camera, I went the cheap route and bought 6 for £1.65 from eBay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12x-Savvie...item5416dedab0), on the basis that I could junk them if they were no good. If anything, they were easier to fit than the Expert Shield and I can't tell the difference. I came to the conclusion that fitting to a camera screen is a lot easier than a phone!

Re: Expert Shield screen protector.

I've always used protectionfilms24.com - the service is excellent. There is a huge choice for each device - glossy, anti-glare, scratch resistant, easy to remove, etc..
The firm is German and shipping (by UPS) is included in the price.

Here is the webpage for EM-1 screen protectors:

Re: Expert Shield screen protector.

I've used a mix of ExpertShield and Swido over the years on various cameras. Both seem good, although anecdotally the current ExpertShield ones I've got on the E-M1s are lasting extremely well.

Re: Expert Shield screen protector.

Expert shield number two arrived today. Fitted very well and quickly. Their cloths I find are excellent for cleaning, superior to most others I've used (going to sling one in the camera bag and use the other for glasses) from even specialist companies
