Dirty knees

With out an articulated screen I had to suffer for my art.

Was it worth it?

You decide! (with a north east accent)

Re: Dirty knees

Dirty knees? I'm imagining a dirty ear for that one.
It's nice, I like it.
I'd like to try a similar picture from different angles and see how the flowers catch the sun ...

Re: Dirty knees

I like it, particularly the way the snowdrops blend with the headstones!

The view of the deceased as it nourishes weeds ...

Macabre but effective, Adam!

Re: Dirty knees

Yes, it works for me, but maybe a bit more DoF might have been more effective. What aperture were you using (EXIF doesn't show anything)?

Re: Dirty knees

I like it, but at the risk of your poor knees (yes, I have the same problem), I'd like to see it with the Snowdrops in sharp focus and the church OOF.

I agree, If the snow drops had just a little more detail with just a little softness it would work better for me.

I didn't have my mini tripod (I have put it back in my kit bag now) so I was a bit limited as it had to be hand held.

The EXIF is a pain as I loose the info as I develop from RAW to Jpeg.

Thanks for your comment

Point taken about the forum the shot is in - I'll pay a bit more attention in future!

Re: Dirty knees

Good viewpoint but I would crop out the gravestone on the right to improve the composition. I might try a touch of vignetting to the top corners although this might be better if the image was converted to monochrome.

The crop does appear to make the image stronger. The monochrome I could take or leave

Re: Dirty knees

Works for me but I have a suggestion:
I would like more depth of Field so both flowers and Church is tack sharp and also a shot where the church is out of focus and the flowers are tack sharp.

I heavy duty Gorilla pod would probable be a handy tool for this.

You have given me inspiration to try shot this when spring comes
