How Does It All Work?

There's an interesting thread going on at present about REP POWER, something I didn't know very much about. It seems there are all sorts of facilities buried within the workings of the site that I am only slowly beginning to find out.

Is there anyone with sufficient time and knowledge who could post a quick "Tutorial" on the subject? I'm sure I'm not the only dunce who would appreciate it!

John

Re: How Does It All Work?

Good idea!

For example, I just tried to add to Zuiko's reputation as the above was such an good suggestion... having previously already done so on a similar thread, but got a message saying "You must spread some reputation around before you add to Zuiko's again".

What are the parameters? And if someone chooses to complain about a post, does that diminish the score?

Not
"Seeking the bubble reputation

But just curious...

Re: How Does It All Work?

The reputation system is something I have paid little attention to, to be honest, but it is enabled and so as there is interest in it, here is the official explanation:

Yes- it gives someone the opportunity to be spiteful!

I'm afraid it was me that started the "Rep Power" topic.

I frequently use forums like this but always feel that there are things I could learn to help me use them more effectively.

It's at the top left on the nav bar, next to Home, but you will only see it if you are logged in. Or you can follow this link (again, you must be logged in):
