Shutter count

Hi All,

Just checked my E400 and it has a shutter count of 8770, is this ok ?, what sort of life span will they have ?

Not sure about the E-400 but the E-3's shutter lifespan is quoted as 150,000. So I think you've got a little more life yet

About 50,000 to 80,000 for the none pro bodies but there are no hard or fast rules.

You still have a bit to go yet so stop worrying.

Thanks all, still new to the DSLR scene, not sure why I`m worried because my OM2n was 30 + years old and was perfect.
Be ok when the "newness " wears off !

I just checked mine and its 12,936 for a 6 year old E400. I hope there is still a bit more life in my old Oly.

Mine's now on just over 28,000 - it was a birthday present to me, brand new in May 2007. It's got some life left yet.
